Ladies Clubs

What is a lady's club anyway? Contrary to popular belief, there is little difference in the heads other than cosmetics and the fact that some of the heads are higher lofted to help get the ball up. Having said that, custom fitting is extremely important for lady golfers.

Many ladies, not all, have slow, smooth swings that allow them to take advantage of a very flexible shaft. Typically, ladies require clubs that are shorter than standard. This is certainly not true for all ladies. Most female golfers require a flatter lie (the angle of the head to the shaft) than the average male golfer. Most female golfers prefer a lighter club. Most also require a smaller grip.

At Al's Clubhouse we have built custom clubs for many female golfers and consider this speciality a strength of our business. Any of the heads in the wood and irons sections can be selected for use by women, however the industry has designed some heads specifically for their use.
